Top 5 Kids Activities in Bangkok

Top 5 Kids Activities in Bangkok

It is almost impossible to run out of things to do in Bangkok. This city is filled with activities from temple tours to nightlife excitement. But beyond those, there’s also plenty of fun stuff to keep your little ones busy as well. Here are our top five kids’ activities in Bangkok.

1.   KidZania

One of the most innovative kids’ attractions in town has quickly become popular among tourists and locals alike. On the surface, KidZania appears to be a whimsical miniature town. But a closer look reveals a genuinely educational experience. Kids wear uniforms and perform roles such as nurse, firefighter and cook, all the while earning ‘KidZos’ money exchangeable for gifts.

2.   Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World

The largest aquarium in Southeast Asia and it’s right in downtown Bangkok. Kids can see and learn about hundreds of aquatic species including sharks, stingrays, penguins, jellyfish and numerous tropical fish varieties. The aquarium is divided into themed sections, in each of which kids can enjoy many interesting activities such as ocean tunnel, feeding shows, diving with sharks, 4-D cinema and more.

3.   Imaginia Playland

Imaginia Playland is truly one of the most imaginative and downright fun activities for kids in Bangkok, including very young children. A wide range of activities have been created under the concept of ‘learning through playing’. Within 19 zones kids play and learn via interactive media installations. Two such zones are Dream Jungle and Dragon Cave which feature trampolines, obstacles, a giant net for climbing and more.

4.   Ice Skating

A classic kids’ activity. And despite what you may think, Bangkok’s hot climate doesn’t stop kids from having some cool fun on the ice. In fact, there are a number of rinks in town, many in convenient locations nearby public transport. Some popular rinks, all in shopping malls, include Sub Zero Ice Skate Club at The Esplanade, Ice Planet at Siam Discovery Centre, and The Rink at CentralWorld as well as at Central Rama 9. Many facilities likewise have coaches to instruct young and beginning skaters as well as rink guards to ensure safety.

5.   Family Sunday Brunch

Here’s an outstanding way for parents to relax on a Sunday afternoon while knowing the kids are having a great time too: Family Sunday Brunch at THE SQUARE, Novotel Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit. We take Sunday brunch seriously. And when it comes to kids’ activities in Bangkok, we provide some serious fun. Adults enjoy many international cuisines as well as one of the city’s best seafood buffets, along with free-flow beer and wine options. Kids, meanwhile, have their own playroom filled with toys, games, ball-filled pool and more for entertainment. And getting to THE SQUARE is easy – we’re right next to BTS SkyTrain – Ploenchit station.
